Seafood City Grocery Store Epoxy Flooring, Chandler Fashion Center
Techniquex is proud to spotlight our completed flooring installation at the new Seafood City in Chandler, Arizona! It was our first project with Seafood City, and it was a pleasure working with their team.
The new store occupies the former Sears space on the second floor of Chandler Fashion Center. Taking over a decades-old retail anchor came with real challenges. The 66,000 sq. ft. slab had numerous penetrations, uneven concrete, and leftover underlayment throughout the space.
The Challenge
Seafood City needed a floor that would correct those surface imperfections, stand up to the daily demands of a busy grocery store, and be easy to repair, all while matching the modern look of a world-class retail facility.
The Solution
Techniquex recommended DiamondHD, troweled at approximately ¼-inch thickness throughout the sales floor. This system repaired the existing surface and delivered outstanding impact resistance. Diamond-Epoxy LM was then applied as a waterproofing membrane, finished with DiamondMetallic for a clean, high-end look.
For the back-of-house areas, Techniquex installed DiamondCrete urethane cement at ¼-inch thickness. That’s the kind of protection food-handling spaces require: UV resistance, chemical resistance, and outstanding thermal-shock resistance against hot washdowns and temperature swings.
